Official Rules

These are the rules for Hooked and Unhinged giveaways. Details on the active giveaway page are part of these rules too.

No Purchase Necessary

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR ORDER WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Void in Florida, New York, Rhode Island, and where prohibited or restricted by law.

Each valid entry gets one entry number for that giveaway. Paid entries and free mail-in entries have the same chance per entry.

Sponsor

Sponsor: Hooked and Unhinged, Texas, United States. Replace this placeholder with the legal entity name, registered address, support email, and any administrator information before launch.

The sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Random.org, any social media platform, fulfillment provider, technology provider, or prize manufacturer unless expressly stated in a specific giveaway page.

Eligibility

Open only to legal residents of approved U.S. states who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their state, at the time of entry. Florida, New York, and Rhode Island residents cannot enter unless the giveaway page says those states have been opened. Employees, officers, contractors, immediate family members, and household members of Sponsor or its promotion partners cannot enter.

You must be physically located in an approved U.S. state when creating an account, buying entry packs, or entering a giveaway. Sponsor may use location, address, age, identity, tax, and eligibility checks to reject or cancel entries that do not meet these rules.

Promotion Period

Each giveaway page states the opening date, closing date, prize description, approximate retail value, drawing date, entry limits, and any giveaway-specific conditions. Sponsor's computer is the official timekeeping device.

Entries received before the opening time or after the closing time may be disqualified. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by the posted closing date and received within seven calendar days after the close unless the giveaway page states a longer period.

How to Enter With Purchase

During the giveaway, qualified people may receive entries by buying entry packs or merch shown on the giveaway page. The number of entries is shown before checkout.

Returned, refunded, reversed, fraudulent, or chargeback orders may void the related entries. Sponsor may cap entries per person, household, email address, payment method, or shipping address as stated on the giveaway page.

Free Mail-In Entry

To enter without purchase, hand print your full name, mailing address, email address, phone number, state of residence, a statement that you are 18 years of age or older and eligible to enter, giveaway name, and the words 'Hooked and Unhinged Free Entry Request' on a plain 3 x 5 inch card. Mail the card in a stamped #10 envelope to: Hooked and Unhinged Free Entry, [Insert Business Mailing Address], Texas, United States.

You must have a free Hooked and Unhinged account using the same email address written on the mail-in request. Entries are not added until the account is finished and eligibility information is checked. No payment method is required for a free account or free mail-in entries.

Each outer envelope must be mailed separately, must be hand-addressed, and must contain one request only. Mechanically reproduced, bulk-shipped, metered, automated, incomplete, illegible, postage-due, or tampered requests may be rejected.

Each valid free mail-in request receives 30 entries, equal to the Starter Surge entry pack, unless the giveaway page states a greater free-entry amount. Free entries get the next open entry numbers, the same as other valid entries.

Entry Number Assignment

Entries are numbered in order. The first valid entry gets number 1. Each later valid entry gets the next open number.

The final odds depend on the total number of eligible entries received. A purchase does not improve the odds attached to any one entry.

Winner Selection

After the giveaway closes and entries are checked, Sponsor will do a random drawing on livestream or recorded video using Random.org or another listed random-number tool. The range will be 1 through the final number of valid entries.

The selected number will be matched to the person assigned that number. If the possible winner cannot win, cannot be reached, does not complete required paperwork, declines the prize, or is disqualified, Sponsor may choose another winner the same way.

Prize, Taxes, and Claiming

The prize, approximate retail value, and any cash alternative are listed on the giveaway page. Prize substitutions are not allowed except by Sponsor if the advertised prize becomes unavailable, in which case Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

Winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, registration, title, licensing, insurance, travel, installation, accessories, and other costs not expressly included. Sponsor may require stronger age, identity, address, and tax verification before awarding a prize and may issue IRS tax forms where required.

Publicity and Winner List

Except where prohibited, entering grants Sponsor permission to use the winner's name, city, state, likeness, voice, prize information, and entry-related content for advertising and publicity without additional compensation.

For a winner list, send a written request with a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Sponsor address within 60 days after the drawing date.

General Conditions

Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or modify a giveaway if fraud, technical failure, legal restriction, force majeure, or any event beyond Sponsor's reasonable control affects the integrity or operation of the giveaway.

Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the process, uses multiple identities, submits false information, harasses Sponsor or entrants, violates these rules, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive way.

Release and Limitation of Liability

By entering, entrants release Sponsor, promotion partners, fulfillment providers, advertising partners, platforms, and their respective owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from claims arising out of participation, prize acceptance, prize use, shipping, technical failures, unauthorized access, or human error, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Nothing in these rules excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Disputes

Texas law governs these rules and each giveaway, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought individually and not as a class action, in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

Entrants may still use any non-waivable consumer rights available under applicable law.
